Strength in Support
I have supported pregnant women and new moms as a professional Birth Doula since 2018. Based in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, I provide moms with the emotional and physical support they need in order to have a gentle birthing experience.
I feel honored to be able to assist and be a part of every pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period I share with my clients.

I am a DONA-certified birth doula as well as a trained Placenta Encapsulation Specialist.
As a doula, I provide prenatal support and education as well as non-medical support during labor, birth, and postpartum. Non-medical support includes education; support physically, mentally, emotionally, and energetically. My role as a doula is also to act as an advocate for the parents and their family!
Doulas not only supports the birthing person, but the partner, children, and other family members as needed too. We are not here to replace partners but to support, assist, and aid in the connection during this beautiful, miraculous experience. 💛

More about me personally, I have birthed two beautiful children. I chose to have unmedicated births, but understand that doulas are for every type of birth no matter who is birthing or what route you take for pain management.
Each of my births were very different and transformative in their own ways as any birth usually is.
Part of my mission in becoming a doula is to serve my community in assisting teenagers entering parenthood as well as low-income families that may not be able to afford a private doula. I firmly believe that everyone deserves to have a doula if they would like one. Both the mother and partner need support during this life-changing time in their lives; whether it be their first child, second, etc. The family dynamic is changing no matter what and I've never heard of anyone having too much support!

Your birth experience is so significant and can drastically affect the type of parents that emerge. In birth, the baby is not the only one being birthed, but the parent as well. The support and care received may greatly affect a parent's overall feelings and how they navigate through the postpartum period.
Certifications & Training
DONA-Certified Doula
I am certified as a birth doula with DONA International. With this certification, we are required to undergo doula training; attend childbirth education classes; a breastfeeding class; work as a doula; obtain professional and client references; be evaluated by clients and medical staff; develop detailed resource lists; and complete required reading. All of this prepares us thoroughly for our role as a doula.
Breastfeeding for Birthworkers
Provides insight and education on how to provide basic breastfeeding support for those who choose to breastfeed their baby (or babies, in the case of multiples).
Trained Placenta Encapsulation Specialist
Trained through PBiU, I am able to safely encapsulate your placenta using the TCM method, TCM stands for Traditional Chinese Medicine. Placentas are prepared for encapsulation with gentle steaming with lemon, pepper, and ginger to provide a warming effect on the mother to assist in recovery, hormonal balance, energy, lactation if breastfeeding and overall well being. I prepare the placenta in this way to assist in bringing balance back to the body postpartum.
OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Training
This training ensures that I am well educated for preparing and handling a placenta safely being that it is an organ and blood is present.
Food Handler Training
- ANSI Accredited
Food handler training provides me the necessary education to handle, prepare, sanitize, and disinfect my area, tools, supplies, etc. during the placenta encapsulation process. Cleanliness and safety is of the utmost importance to me.
Evidence Based Birth
Knowledge is power. Evidence Based Birth is an amazing resource for everything birth related for both the general public and birth workers alike. I am regularly taking classes to increase my knowledge base to better assist my clients. Classes taken include: breastfeeding; cesarean rates; dads and support persons; doulas; evidence-based maternity care
